Happy Birthday

Hello everyone, hope you have all had a wonderful christmas. We certainly have & its been the best one we have had for many years as well.......lots & lots of laughs. Lots of big full bellies too as I went all out this year. Good job we are starting back the gym on the 3rd January........we need to lol.
So today is my eldest son's birthday..........yep 26 years ago I lay in hospital on New Years Eve after giving birth to my premature son by emergency section......today he is a father of 2 & a fully qualified plumber & gas engineer & engaged to a fabulous young lady who has become my daughter & he really couldnt have picked anyone better.........I am extremely proud & extremely thankful.

Ok so I made 2 cards, 1 of me & dad & 1 off his sister & brother. Now remember I dont make many male cards, yes I know I need make more but I love foofiness lol.
Ok here is the card off me & dad.....
Yes hanging shirts lol......he wanted money like he usually does to be honest & I wanted to do something different for a change.........

OMGoodness these took me ages.......I am not an origami kinda person, so to make shirts out of £10 notes was fustrating to say the least......its not like I could cheat & cut the paper to make it work lol........wow hubster would not be pleased me doing that lol.
This is the inside, yes with 2 more shirts.  Not sure if I will be making this sort of card again lol....they also kept going skee-wif on the hangers everytime they moved.......all in all this card took me 4 hours!! Yes 4 hours for a male card........ I'm used to taking 4 hours for foofy...do you see foofy noooooooooo lol.
However he did absolutely love the card when he received it today & didnt want to take the shirts off lol...........see its like a good money saving idea isn't it.
All papers & badges & tickets etc are all Pion from Noor Design UK.
£10 notes are from my purse & hangers & twine are form my stash ;-)

Ok so the next car is for a true car lover........thats what me & my 2 sons are......total car lovers. So much so that if I had to choose between cars or crafts..........well it would be cars!!
What better car is there than a BMW..........the answer to that is none....unless its an Aston Martin then I reckon I could be pursuaded lol.
My eldest son's favourite car is BMW, he loves all german cars but his favourite is BMW & his last 2 & his current car are BMW's.......his son was even born in one lol

So I made a card like the BMW badge........I lurve these cars & I mean lurve.

The lettering is not the same as a BMW but this was the only letter die I had & it was only after I finished making the card that I realised I could have cut the letters out on my silhouette doh!!!

Yes I know BMW doesn't have happy birthday going across the middle but this is limited edition ;-)

Ok I'm gonna go but will be back tomorrow with my post for Noor Design UK.........new challenge goes live tomorrow peeps.

So I wish you all a fabulous night whatever you are doing.
Tatty bye big hugs to you all

Merry Christmas Everyone

Helloooooo I thought I would quickly pop on to show you a card I made a couple of weeks ago but havnt shown yet.
Its going to be a really quick post as I'm in the middle of baking & I've got the christmas gravy to make......I always do Jamie Olivers Christmas gravy as its soooooooo darn yummy. The link is here for anyone wanting to try it.....though I dont use star anise as I think its overpowering & I also dont use the sherry or port........but they are optional!!

I'm not going to be able put all the links to items used as I dont have time today but will pop back on at some point to add links.
I made this initially for All About Magnolia challenge but this months challenge is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances....so it was made a month ago lol.

I've used a Marianne Doily die in the corner there, then Marianne Holly die, a couple of rose & a Kort Og Godt flower.
The trees are from the latest Magnolia Club Kit.
The pale pink lace & the white lace are from my stash. The papers are Maja Design Home For The Holidays.

The fence this side & the hearts are from the Magnolia Club Kit also.
On this piccy you can see the glitter better, I added snowtex to the bottom then sprinkled glitter while it was still wet. I also added Tim Holtz glitter to the gorgeous snowman that Tilda is building..

The snow-man is also from the club kit & I think was my favourite die in this kit......I love it!! This time I cut him out twice, 1 in white card then again in matching papers then popped him onto foam pads for dimension. Isn't he so darn cute ;-)

The penguin there is a Joy Crafts die from Noor Design UK & I inked him in Pumice Stone.
The fabulous stamp is Magnolia Me & My Snowman from the Aspen collection.....I coloured the image with distress ink refills & it was stamped onto Fabriano watercolour paper from Noor Design UK.

Well thats it from me but I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. May you all be surrounded by love & happiness & your loved ones. May we spare a thought for those less fortunate than us & be thankful for everything & everyone we have in our lives.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

Noor Design UK DT Post

Hello there everyone. Well its nearly the big day.......are you all ready? I wish I was lol, although I'm excited as I love Christmas, spending time with our loved ones, watching little grandkids opening pressies.....magical love the whole time. Except leading up to it when its manic lol.

Ok less of my babble & I will show you a christmas card, I was supposed to show 2 today but I've being poorly & didn't get the other one finished in time....but will show you after crimbo ;-)
Thankfully I made this a week ago & its a vintage christmas card today but cannot say who for incase they are peeking....which I'm sure they are & its in the post on its way to them ;-)
I'm so dis-organised this year :-(
I will start by saying how darn cute is this image.........although I did struggle to pick one & ended up doing eeny meeny miney mo lol.
Kept everything on a neutral colour scheme for this one as I thought it might go nice with the gorgeous vintage image from Pion Design.

Here we have some gorgeous flowers, the centre one being a free gift that came with the Magnolia Doohickey club kit. I've added pomegrante apples.......I love those & they can be used all year round & think they are the perfect add to flowers.
In front we have a cinnamon stick.........again lurve those so much. You can also see a rusty snowflake.......I absolutely love these metal rusty findings on creations as they add another texture to them & look fabulous!!

Under there is the Ice Crystal Swirl die-cut but you cannot see much of it here :-( I have added Scrapiniec which I sprayed white with normal white spray paint. I've also adde rusty bells with waxed cord, pomegrante apples & atg made with a Magnolia stamp....I love this stamp.

This is the inside which I've kept quite plain but still complimenting the front. I have added a Happy Holidays Holly Leaves die & then added Memory Box stitched oval over the top to write on.
The papers are Maja Design I Wish collection & Ive inked, distressed & machine stitched the edges.

I've neglected this Skates die this year which is a shame, I inked parts of it with pumice stone. Added some seam binding, waxed cord, a snowman charm & a gorgeous bit of bling there.
Also added pearls along the bottom as you need pearls on a vintage card.....I'm sure its the law ;-)

You can just see the Scrapiniec in the corner, I added 1 in each opposite corner, left them plain but just inked the edges a little bit with pumice stone. I've hidden most of the lace for some stupid reason as its sooooo pretty.....I get carried away sometimes though when I'm adding foofiness lol.
There is a bark heart, another of my loves & you can see a couple of snowflakes which are form the new Whimsy Stamps Geometric Snowflake die.......you can use this as a whole or just parts of it.
I've also added Crackle Paste here & there. Sentiment at the bottom of image is form the bottom strip of a Maja Design sheet.

Well that is it from me as this is my last post for Noor Design UK before Christmas. I will be back this week with other makes, all will be scheduled lol.......this week Ithink is very busy for everyone lol.

Thanks for stopping by mmwah.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Peace & Joy For Christmas

Hello everyone how are you all? Well a week tomorrow the jolly fella dressed in red comes eeekkkk.........my goodness I'm so not prepared at all.

I'm here today to show you a card that I made for very dear relatives.......cannot say as its on their way to them through the postal service ;-) However I will show you what I sent them & hopefully they will like it.
Will list all products used at the bottom.
My favourite colours seem to be reds & golds this year........usually I prefer blues & browns.....you know what I reckon my favourite colours depend on what Maja Design & Pion Design release for christmas lol.

I added some Scrapiniec & then a rusty star over the top, love these rusty things on christmas cards.
I also added a heart shaped button from my stash with some thin twine behind it.
I also added white crackle paste here & there.. The sentiment is from the bottom of a sheet of Maja Design paper.

All the flowers are WOC & I added Pomegrante Apples & a mini bark star. The leaves are Tim Holtz Holiday Greens. There is also a small white wooden snowflake, I adore these!!

The gorgeous red ribbon is from my stash although it looks quite bright here when its not actually this bright.
I've added berries from my stash & some rusty bells on waxed cord & some bling in the centre of the bow.
You can also see the 2 lots of lace I've added, also from my stash.

The gorgeous image I printed onto photo quality matt paper & stitched around the edge.

The papers are all Maja Design I Wish collection & I have inked, distressed & sewn all around the edges.
The star shaped snowflakes are actually part of the new Whimsy die, you can use it whole or just use parts of it........its fabulous!! The chipboard image is form my stash & I cannot remember at all where its originally from :-(
